Le centre médical Mayanei Hayeshua a annoncé qu’il ne disposait plus de respirateurs pour les malades qui en auraient besoin en raison d’un manque de moniteurs cardiaques nécessaires pour faire fonctionner ce type de machine.
L’hôpital possède douze respirateurs en fonctionnement et tous sont actuellement utilisés, a fait savoir le quotidien Haaretz. Selon le journal, Israël a conclu récemment que le pays se trouve dans l’incapacité d’obtenir un plus grand nombre de respirateurs à l’étranger et qu’il faudra trouver une solution de production au niveau local. Établi il y a moins de 30 ans, le centre médical Mayanei Hayeshua (MHMC) est un hôpital de 320 lits avec 18 départements médicaux et 32 cliniques et instituts ambulatoires.
