Intel Corporation est très active en Israël et n’arrête pas sa stratégie de rachats de firmes israéliennes. Pour $100 Millions, Screenovate (Tel-Aviv) rachetée par le Groupe Intel.
Dans sa dernière tournée à l’étranger, le PDG d’Intel, Pat Gelsinger, avait annoncé une série d’investissements notamment en Israël, où il est déjà très implanté.
Intel est une entreprise américaine fondée le par Gordon Moore, Robert Noyce et Andrew Grove. Elle est le second fabricant mondial de semi-conducteurs après Samsung si on se fonde sur le chiffre d’affaires. Elle fabrique des microprocesseurs — c’est d’ailleurs elle qui a créé le premier microprocesseur x86 —, des cartes mères, des mémoires flash et des processeurs graphiques notamment.
Intel est cotée au Nasdaq sous le sigle INTC. Sa capitalisation boursière s’élève à 254,88 milliards de dollars avec pour principal concurrent Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). À compter de février 2021, l’entreprise est dirigée par Pat Gelsinger, jusqu’alors PDG de VMWare.

The global tech powerhouse Intel announced on Monday that it acquired Israeli startup Screenovate.
No deal details were released publicly, though a source told the Israeli business daily Globes that Intel is paying $100 million for Screenovate, which is 10 times the $10 million it had raised.
The acquired company develops screen-duplication solutions that allow interaction between multiple devices.
Intel invested in Screenovate in 2014; after the acquisition, the Israeli company will join Intel’s Client Computing Group, according to Globes.
“The many research studies that we have conducted have found the enormous importance of the user experience, regardless of what device is being used,” said Intel Vice President of Client Engineering Jim Johnson.
Screenovate Founder and CEO Joshua Glazer said, “the opportunity to become part of Intel with its market coverage, technology power and excellent connections opens new horizons for all of us.”
