Les Israel Shipyards sont l’un des plus grands chantiers navals et ateliers de réparation en Méditerranée orientale. La société exploite également le premier et seul port propriété privée en Israël.
Les installations de l’entreprise sont situés près de port de Kishon (une partie du complexe portuaire de Haïfa) ; elles comprennent un dock flottant d’une capacité de levage de 20 000 tonnes et un quai de 900 mètres de long avec 12 mètres de profondeur d’eau.
LE PLUS. For over 60 years Israel Shipyards Group has been an active member in different fields of industry and security in Israel, and specifically in relation to marine activities. The Group’s activity is divided into three main sectors and is performed by designated companies: the maritime sector (including a shipyard for building and repairing vessels and for performing complex infrastructure work), the port sector (loading and discharging of cargo) and the cement and products for the construction industry sector. In addition, the Group provides logistics and support services for the offshore gas and petrol drilling operations, as well as cargo shipping worldwide. LE PLUS. Established in 1959, Israel Shipyards Ltd (ISL) is today one of the largest privately owned ship building and repair facilities in the East Mediterranean. Israel Shipyards Ltd (ISL) specializes in a wide range of naval and merchant ship design and construction. Naval vessel production includes state-of-the-art missile boats for Israel’s Ministry of Defense and foreign countries, Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) and Fast Patrol Crafts. Merchant and commercial vessel design and production include merchant ships, tug boats, multi-purpose boats and floating docks. Israel Shipyards also handles ship repairs, maintenance and retrofitting of merchant & naval vessels.
In addition to ship-building, Israel Shipyards manages heavy industrial works including the manufacturing of large steel constructions for power stations, desalination facilities and infrastructures, sea port cranes, pressure vessels and gas pipe line systems. Since 2009 Israel Shipyards’ shore-based facility together with its private port has been providing logistic support, manufacture and repair services for the region’s offshore drilling industries – operators and oilfield services companies.
Israel Shipyards facility covers 330,000sqm and employs about 500 persons and 35 engineers.
