LUTTE CONTRE LE CANCER. Une première ! Un accord entre deux hôpitaux situés l’un à Rabat et l’autre à  Haïfa a été annoncé. Des médecins marocains devront bientôt se rendre à Haïfa (Hôpital Rambam). Le Campus de soins de santé de Rambam, communément appelé Hôpital de Rambam, est un hôpital situé dans le quartier Bat Galim de Haïfa, en Israël, fondé en 1938, 10 ans avant la création de l’Etat d’Israël.

Le Dr Shifra Ash, directeur du département d’hématologie et d’oncologie pédiatriques de Rambam et chef de la Société israélienne d’hématologie et d’oncologie pédiatriques, a déclaré que cette collaboration marquait « le début d’une nouvelle ère ».

Selon i24News : « Des médecins de l’hôpital pour enfants du campus Ruth Rappaport de Rambam et de l’hôpital pour enfants de Rabat ont organisé une réunion conjointe pour discuter des cas individuels de cancer pédiatrique et partager leurs connaissances, a annoncé l’hôpital Rambam de Haïfa dans un communiqué.

Les hôpitaux marocain et israélien ont accepté de travailler ensemble dans le domaine de la recherche, et de partager des informations et des expériences de traitement.

Le personnel médical de Rabat viendra en Israël pour une formation à l’hôpital Rambam et le personnel de l’établissement israélien se rendra à son tour dans la capitale marocaine.

« Nous sommes très enthousiastes », a déclaré le professeur Myriam Ben Arush, ancienne directrice de la division pédiatrique de l’hôpital pour enfants Ruth Rappaport et qui a servi de médiatrice dans le processus.

« Nous sommes particulièrement heureux de faire partie de ce processus historique et de devenir un pont pour la paix », a-t-elle affirmé. »

LE PLUS. Selon moroccoworldnews.com : « Israeli and Moroccan hospitals have agreed to carry out a medical cooperation  to fight cancer in children. Israel Hayom reported that Morocco’s University Hospital for Children in Rabat signed the agreement with the Ruth Children’s Hospital in Ramban health facility in Haifa regarding a cooperation to fight against child cancer.

The news outlet said representatives of the two hospitals held a virtual meeting to discuss the main points of collaboration. The two hospitals will sign the agreement in the coming weeks. The collaboration will focus on pediatric hemato-oncology, the news outlet added.

The two hospitals also agreed to strengthen cooperation in research and information sharing. A medical delegation from the Moroccan hospital is also expected to receive training at Rambam hospital. A medical staff from Israel will also visit the Moroccan hospital. Morocco’s government has yet to confirm the news on the agreement between the two health facilities.

Israeli foreign ministry shared Hayoum’s report on its Twitter page, suggesting the accuracy of the announcement. The news comes amid vows from both Morocco and Israel to reinforce cooperation at multiple levels. The two countries established ties on December 10, vowing to cooperate in health, technology, and innovation.

Recently, they also agreed to establish a parliamentary friendship group. Morocco is the fourth Arab country to have publicly announced its decision to re-establish ties with Israel. UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan made the same announcement last year. »
