Talya Lador-Fresher, ancienne ambassadrice d’Israël à Vienne (Autriche) de 2015 à 2019, a été nommée chargée d’affaires ad interim de l’ambassade d’Israël en France. Elle prendra ses fonctions le 16 janvier prochain et assurera la permanence à l’ambassade en attendant la nomination d’un ambassadeur permanent dans la capitale française. Ambassador Talya Lador-Fresher has been Ambassador of the State of Israel in Austria since 2015 and is Israel’s permanent representative at the International Organizations in Vienna. She once told « The Diplomatic Club », that « It is hard to be a diplomat, it is harder to be an Israeli diplomat and even harder to be an Israeli woman diplomat. »

She studied business administration and political science at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987.
She joined the diplomatic service of her country in 1989.
From 1991 to 1993 she worked at the Israeli Embassy in Jamaica.
She then worked at the Consulate General in New York until 1997.
She then spent three years at the Foreign Ministry and three years at the Presidential Chancellery dealing with global Jewish affairs.
From 2006 to 2010, she served as Plenipotentiary Envoy to the London Embassy. From 2010 to 2015, she headed the Protocol Department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
On 6 December 2015 she took over the Ambassador’s agenda in Vienna and since then has also represented her country as permanent representative to the international organisations in Vienna (UNIDO and OSCE).
