A Question addressed during this bilingual evening: « In the Conquest of Space by Israel, what is the role of France? « .
Exceptional meeting in Tel Aviv on March 25, 2019. The CCIIF (Tel Aviv) will celebrate the launching of the lunar mission of Israel. The expected guests: SpaceIL, Israel Aerospace Industries, Israeli Universities members of the project. CCIIF will also welcome the France-Israel cooperation in the aeronautical and space field. The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange will host this special evening. 250 guests will be in the room.

2. Professor Ehud Behar, Director, Asher Space Research Institute. Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Professor Ehud Behar is the Director of the Norman and Helen Asher Space Research Institute at Technion. He is distinguished in the field of astrophysics, focusing on observational astrophysics and cosmology and investigating active stars, supernova remnants, the intergalactic medium, and black holes in active galaxies.
At Columbia University’s Astrophysics Laboratory he worked with the team that developed an x-ray spectrometer that was launched by the European Space Agency on board its XMM-Newton observatory. Dr. Behar has published more than 100 papers in leading professional journal and has been a visiting scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. At the Asher Space Research Institute, he opened a new Space Optics Laboratory, where he oversees multidisciplinary research in space instrumentation, space propulsion and small satellite applications.

Ariel owned B.Sc from Jerusalem College of Technology(JCT) in 2003 and MBA from Ben Gurion University (BGU) in 2009. Ariel performed several positions of System Engineering in the R&D unit of Merkava IV tank development unit for the Ministry of Defense. From 2011 Ariel occupied the position of system engineer at Elbit group in the laser division development till 2016 before he joined the SpaceIL team for the Goole Lunar Xprize competition.

PROGRAMME SPATIAL La sonde israélienne Beresheet qui va alunir le 11 avril a déjà transmis, à une distance de 37 600 kilomètres de la planète bleue, son premier selfie montrant le drapeau israélien avec les mots „Am Israel ’haï“ (longue vie au peuple d’Israël) et „Small country big dreams“ (petit pays, grands rêves).
La sonde, qui a été lancée de la Floride le 22 février dernier, est le plus petit engin spatial jamais envoyé sur la lune et une grande première pour Israël. Il s’agit également de la première sonde développée par une organisation privée, Spacell, en coopération avec l’entreprise Aerospace Industries. Ces deux sociétés ont même réussi à nouer un partenariat avec la NASA en lui proposant un instrument développé par l’institut Weizmann permettant de mesurer les champs magnétiques dans et au-dessus de la zone d’alunissage.
